Default YAY!.. wait..NO!

Well I fixed my windshield washer fluid leak.. It was leaking from the top pump-split down the middle... I just put some silicon sealeant and electrical tape on it as a temporary but hopefuly long term fix. Took me about an hour and a half to do. Anyway.. I get in the car and take a short trip and when i get back, when I open the door from the inside, the chrome handle now doesnt return! Somethings broken on the inside, but its still functional. The handle on the inside of the door just doesnt spring back to make it flush, it sticks out. I dont have pics yet but i think yall know what im talking about.. Soooo, is this common? Anyone know what it could be? The spring? Thanks.

Yeah the spring breaks... not sure if you can just replace the spring... if not, then off to the salvage yard you go!!

I think you have to take the whole door panel off... because the screw is in from the back. Very easy to take the skin off... Two screws on the top of either side of the door skin... and the tricky screws are underneath the door handle... you have to kind of push against the plastic insert, and it will slide down, and out... (i think you have to take a screw out before you take the plastic thing out) ... then there are two MORE screws underneath the handle.
Then when all the screws are all out... you just grab the door handle, and lift UP... it'll slide up off it's hooks, and then separate from the door... then disconnect the wires and voila. Very easy.... go give it a whirl!

I guess most people just replace the door handle assembly which includes the tweeter cover.

Wow those guys are saying the part is like 20 bucks at the dealer... how the hell is it so cheap? I need to replace the plastic cover that goes over my 4-way and fog light buttons... and that POS is like 35 bucks. This actually has a bloody HANDLE and moving parts... and its cheaper? The dealers boggle my mind...
