RE: ycott all shell & petro canada gas stations in canada
what? You apparently don't know the economics of today's fuel delivery.
For one, Shell is a global company and little Canada will never make Shell go out of business. (btw - that is not a knock on Canada since I am a Canadian living in the US). Think all these companies will go out of business if you stop buying gas there?
Shell Comapnies
Petro Canada is a federally subsidized company and will NEVER go out of business. The govt. will simply suck more of your tax dollars to keep it afloat.
And Gas prices are global - they are high everywhere right now because demand is high and production has been reduced by OPEC (with the actual intent to increase prices) and of course you have the Iraq situation. When OPEC increases production again the prices will go down. Canada's prices are higher than US prices because the govt taxes fuel much more, and because the Can$ is worth less than the US$ on the world market - so you can not buy as much gas with 1$ CAN as you can with 1$ US.
Gonna have to suck it up right now and live with it cuz there's no solid way we can influence it.
