Default Yes or no, 18's w/o sport package

Hey guys, im just wondering if it would prudent to put 18s on my A4, without lowering it. The car does not have the sport package, so it sits a bit high. So basically im asking if it would look dumb. Anyone have pics of a car without lowering/sport package with 18s? Thanks.

Sweet jeebus, don't do it...
I have 17's, with sport pkg, and I'm still not happy with how high it sits. To think about 18's, with no sport, and no immediate means to lower it... is wrong.

Ahhh... youth. Wait, Im young too... anyways...

Please dont do this, I did that... I had that squirrelly set up for almost 2 years. When I bought my car, I immediatly bought 18 inch rims... and nothing else. My car turned into a monster truck and looked like ***. I have pics but nothing that looks too obvious, I did a good job of hiding how tall my car was (my profile pic actually has a pic of my car before it was lowered). This degraded my performance quite a bit... my suspension suffered, I had massive understeer, and lots of body roll.

When I finally saved enough money, I got it lowered. I set a record at my shop for the tallest car they had ever seen... I beat the record by 2 inches.

Dont spend the money big *** rims until you get suspension.

Funny story... there was a guy on here that advised someone to do that.

Do you know what he used to drive?

i have a non-sport 02 a4 with the 15 inch stock wheels.

i really wanna replace them with the 17" 5 spoke stock wheels.

based on what i am reading in this thread, i am getting the impression that maybe i shouldn't.

is what's being said here pertaining to 18" wheels, still going to apply for the 17" wheels i want to get?

and what exactly would i need to buy first to make my wheel-swap "alright?"
