Default Yet another HID question...

I've been looking around for a good set of HID's for my 07 A4 (currently halogen headlamps) and have come across a few promising brands.

After looking around I see that some brands are claimingthat other brandswill set off theheadlamp warning lamp in the dash. Is this true? If so can anyone recommend a HID brand that will notdo this.

I've alreadysearched the HID posts and didn't see anything that addresses this issue. If I missed it, please link me

I am not sure but I think you can get away with just a plugg n play kit. It might not set off thebulb out light. HOWEVER, that issue was resolved when someone figured out that if you ad a resistor it will doop the ecu and you won't throw a light.

even better thread (page 4, last post so far), contains a visual aid to the bulb out solution.

The warning light comes on because the difference in wattage from using plain halogen to using HIDS. All you have to do is stick a 2.2k Ohm Resistor that you can get from radio shack into the car's stock harness. (Where you plug in the two wires from the HID bulb into the stock harness, just shove a resistor in there.) It will work fine.

its comes on whether you have halogen or xenon (stock). I changed out my stock xenons with the vision bulb kit and it still throws a bulb out light..

Yea, it was hard to mount. I finally decided to place them under the headlight housing.

cost me 300, because the shop I went to had to take out all my old ballasts and what not, drill holes in my housing and fill it with some sort of apoxy, not to mention they had to take off the front end.

Thanks a lot for the help. I was checking out the "Vision" website and they look great. That will definitely the brand I purchase.
