YO! i need serious help
Man, it sounds like you guys have no idea what you are doing...lol, no offense. Maybe some people would be better off taking thier car somewhere for the audio install.............and if you are having this much trouble with just a basic sub install, i wouldnt recommend touching anything in your engine bay.....
LOL! ^^^ hahaha... power wire to pos side of battery and where did you run your remote turn on? 75x post under drivers side knee bolster?
what did you say about unplugging the ECU to get the wires up there?

white wire on the preamp in my trunk is what i THOUGHT was switched live but apparently its permanent. thats where i ran my remote turn on for the subs' amp. on the (+) terminal theres a red wire that runs to my ecu. when i disconnected the terminal, i disconnected the ecu. i was told there shouldnt even be a problem but there definately is. all i did to run the power wire was take off the ecu cover and slide the wire thru the wide *** opening leading to near my brake pedal, slid the wire under the panels all the way to the trunk, cant even tell its there
your an idiot..^^^Remote ALWAYS goes to your head unit..no matter what ALWAYS... If you were in socal I would install you system for 40 bucks and be done within the hour.... no problems at all...
WTF remote doesnt ALWAYS have to go to the headunit man.... In our cars it can go to the 75x terminal which is ingition on, and if your trying to install with the stock HU that is a much easier and better way to do it

true that^^ forgot about that! I connect mine to my HU so that when I turn off my headunit my amp turns off... But that is another route for sure.. my bad.. Badluck while you hear can you answer a question for me... Whats that spray you use to stealth your turnsignal bulbs whats that **** called?
all i used was high temp silver spray paint.... and after lots of looking around many other people do that too and it worked really well

you can also get the remote coming from the factory amp located in the trunk. I guess that only pertains to those of us with the bose system. litterally took me about 20 mins to do my entire install. I've never had a problem with my amp/subs, next time read up and ask questions before starting the mod...learn from others mistakes, thats why we are here.
no no no no no. u guys misunderstand. the subs are not the problem at all lol. ive installed subs 6 times, no problem, just never in an audi. the problem here is this: once i plugged in my amp, my car wont start. ive touched nothing but my battery and the factory amp in my trunk and cant even get my car to turn over
