I have enough money to do the GIAC chip upgrade for the S4 (the S4 section is really slow). But the brakes on the S4 I don't think they are really that great, they were smoking after I took it up to 145. Would you guys recommend I do the AWE's upgraded DBA brake kit for front and rear wheel first, since the chip is going to make the car faster.

 

Nearly all stock brakes will smoke some when you are trying to stop from that speed. I guess it comes down to what you think is best for you. . . . I would do the chip cos, it aint often you'll be doing 145mph and the chip is good for take off's.

 

get the chip... and see if the brakes still smoke at 150mph

 

I'd do the brake upgrade... you already have a car that is absolutely stellar to drive. You already have a fast car, spend money on controlling that speed, before you make it faster.

 

i would do the brakes casue wuts the point of having power if u can stop
but
im sure you will be alrite if i dont go up to crazy high speeds

 

Thanks for the suggestions guys, yea thats what my thinking was the car is fast as it is, the brakes are also "wrapped" or however you spell it so the performance upgrade would pretty much kill two birds in one stone.

Now any suggestions on what brakes and the best prices? even though i am looking at the package AWE is offering.

The audi brakes are fine untill u start tracking, mine are fine when i bring it down from 150mph.
