Default ZOMFG MORE HORSIES!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey peeps!
Last night i remembered why i stopped driving my 94 Saab 900, every time i touch it something breaks......... driving home from work yesterday and the clutch goes right to the floor, need to rebuild the damn master cylinder now. Less then 1000 miles on a brand new TRANSMISSION, clutch, belt, pulleys, ball joints, rear calipers and pads all around, and the worse part is, with over 4k invested into it, i can't sell the damn thing for $800 to get it off my lawn....... ARRR anyway, i am done bitching and i shouldn't need to be driving that after this weekend anyway thanks to Nick (Nrosie4) who hooked me up with a K04 from a rollover. I got the turbo this morning, Thanks again dude, and to all the other peoples that give all the great advice!

Going to attempt an install this weekend, I pulled out the air box this morning with the heat shield. Printed out two DIY manuals:
http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng27.shtml
&
http://www.passatworld.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=121852 (this is an upgrade on a Passat, but it looks the same as this first, it should be it's the same engine and turbo. This guide is much more detailed)

Got some beer and I'm gonna see how badly i can f this up! Once i get it in i'll take a swing down to my APR shop and get them to do there little laptop thing to it.

I'll keep you monkeys posted on the outcome!

got everything disconnected except the coolent return line last night, just got to tired and have all weekend to play with it so i went in and played Excite Truck, if you don't have one yet, GET A NINTENDO WII!!!!!

need to go get some hose clamps this morning so i can put things back together. then take the last line off the K03 and start prepping the new one to go in.

right now, the air box to turbo air hose is still in the car, should i take this out and attach it to the turbo then reinstall the whole thing? or should i leave it all connected and just try to get the hose back on the front of the turbo once i get the K04 positioned in place? anyone here done this?

thanks guys! keep you updated! maybe some photos too.

YYYYEEEEAAHHHHH Beer is a must, its almost as important as a ratchet or socket set when it comes to working on cars, it also makes you get through those tough problems.

haha, you can ask JP A4 about me smoking and working on cars, it goes hand in hand... I can't do the old guy thing where I lean over the hood with the cigarette hanging out my mouth and talk so the cigarette bounces up and down.... the smoke gets in my eyes and drives me crazy, but I do take a lot of smoke breaks.

yes, you can admit you have a problem with smoking, and when you say alot you mean every 2 mins, j/k but see when you drink its not your fault its the beer, well this well displayed diagram will explain it better.

haha, awesome cartoon, i saved taht for some friends.

I just got everything bolted back together, about 6 hours total, could have shaved off 2 hours if i had the tools i needed, and planned more, but no biggie. just took it down the road, needs some more coolant, but everythign sounds nice and all the oil burned off so it all looks good. going to take it out tomorrow for a test drive and see how i did. YAY!!!!! K04!!!!!!! hopfuly i can find the time next week to drive 2.5 hours to my apr tuning shop and have the upgrade the programming to the K04 stuffz.

Can't wait!
