Post Audi care package = 800$ , is it worth it?

Hi Guys,

My A5 has barely done 2k miles and I was thinking of whether to buy the Audi maintenance car package or not? It is worth 800 bucks....is it really worth it?

As someone who likes to tinker and have historically done a lot of my own maintenance I initially didn't think so. But doing the math (albeit gauged against high dealership service prices) it seemed to make sense. Audi really ought to throw it in as BMW does tho'. Anyway, carefree for four years is kinda nice. I can use the resultant free time to keep my other family's cars in good shape. I got mine for $750 btw. Not much savings but worth my few minutes of negotiation.

I know its worth it; that's like $200 a year. I have had issues with the Bang & Olufsen system which they would have replaced under warranty, but labor costs are high, and without the plan I'd be paying for the installation.

BTW I have a RED Audi A5 S-Line 2009 model, that is having an amplifier change so I can have some audio in the car.

If your car is still under warranty, why would you have to pay for the labor to replace the defective B&O system?
