Anyone got experience rebuilding a blown 2.0 from the notorious timing belt tensioner fail. Is it worth it?

 

It really depends on how much you're getting the engine and replacement parts for. Brand new replacement parts can be had for around $2600. And you'll need special tools to take off certain parts.

It's not an easy job, though doable. Not a one weekend project.
