02 Sensors
Okay, got the code reads on my 2000 A6 Quattro. Need all 4 O2 Sensors. Are the fronts the same type? Are the rears the same type. As in twp pairs? A little confusing when ordering.
TIA! |
It is very unlikely that you have 4 bad o/2 sensors.
What exactly are the fault codes you have? What engine do you have? APB=2.7 turbo ATQ=V6 non turbo or ART=V8 |
Agree with M5S5 - unless you had a turbo bust loose and drench the entire exhaust with oil, I can't see all 4 going at once. They may be OK, but something else is causing them to throw codes. Get all the info you can from a VAG-COM and post it here. Could even be the heater line to the sensors has broken/quit/??? - only the codes will tell us...

Thanks. Going to have it rerun tomorrow. Will let you know.

FYI, the front two are the same. The rear ones are different.

Thanks!

2000 A6 O2 Codes
All,
Here are the O2 codes I have. 16543- O2 Sensor Bank 2 sensor 2 response too slow P0159 intermittent 17585- Bank 2 O2 sensor correction behind catalyst control limit reached P1177 16523- O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 response too slow P0139 intermittent 17584- Bank 1 O2 sensor correction behind catalyst control limit reached P1176 Both banks. |
Are those all the codes for the whole engine? I would expect something else from the engine as well, but they may be pointing to the cats going south on you.

Thanks. Those are the only codes that were showing. I looked at the screen when we checked. ?????????
|
Those faults are for both rear o/2 sensor sensors , not all 4. Replaced the rears & see what happens.
