04 Audi A6 3.0 TDI Quattro S Line - Engine stalling when idle
Hello, I have recently purchased an 04 Audi A6 3.0 TDI Quattro S Line and have started to experience problems that led me to this site. When the car is running idle whether in D or P, the engine has started to stall. When the car is driving it is going 100%, however when stopped at junctions it is likely to stall. I put the computer on it to get the following code;
17471 Fuel Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached: P1063
I was quoted £240 for the necessary sensor but was told this may not even solve the problem. Has anyone encountered a similar problem and how was it solved? This is my first time using the site so thanks for any help.

I was told it could be bad diesel. Before replacing any parts which were all going to cost a fortune I ended up driving all the diesel out of the car and put £10s worth in again and did this a few times. This seemed to work as it hasn't stalled again since. The fuel sensors must be very sensitive.
