I was at my parents last night came out to get in my car and leave and it was completely dead. Only the radio and lights would work. So I got a hold a scanner and scanned it and this code along with a few others but pretty normal for the car not running. Cleared the codes and the heard the steering wheel unlock and the dash lights came on.

My question is can I replace the column with a used one and recode it? If I replace it with a used one will I will be able to drive it without any programming? Basically trying to avoid the dealer or having it towed to the dealer if I replace it.
