Id go with the 18x8.5. I had 18x8s on my 99 A6 and they looked sweet. I think the biggest tire you can go with out rubbing at all is 225/40/18. Good luck and those wheels will definatly set your car off!

Well, I have 19x9 waiting for tires but they look fine. I justneed wheels spacers to get that perfect look.
I would also go with 18x8.5, you'lllike the way it looks, a little wide.Just make sure the offset is over 40 otherwise you'll need wheel spacers to clear the front calipers

 

I believe the offset is 42 so that should work I may be putting the rims on the side as of now and getting exhaust...gotta try different routes to convince the parents to let me spend the money...sucks being under their roof (sometimes)

 

nice rim choise will look great on that a6.

 

Would you suggest lowering my A6 when I get those rims? I know lowering with 19s is a good idea but wasn't sure what people thought about 18s. I am looking to get them in the spring now since winter is coming and it isn't worth it to get the rims for only a few weeks (or about a month and a half)till the snow comes.

 

I'm upset with you. Got me playing around on that site like a kid with a new toy....hahaha. Nice choice though. I would have made the same choice had I not seen some of the others. But you may want to give them a call to make sure HE825 Tease fit. I went into the "fitting room" and that style didn't come up as an option for our car.

 

alright...yeah I had a guy that worked at the custom shop call in and ask them and they said it would so I'll double check...honestly it was the parents decision to make me wait not mine... : (
