My 96 A6 has 113xxx miles on it. Recently, for about a week, when I first turn over the engine the trip odometer flashes "oil" until I press the reset button. I got the car end of December, from family that has owned it since it was new and have all service records, and have done an oil change with Mobil 1 full synthetic. Is this just a computer reset that I need to do or is it a deeper engine issue?

just normal maintance reminder. Look in your owners manual on how to reset it. It has something to do with the trip ***** but i cant remember off the top of my head.
