Hi all,

I just bought an 97 A6 Quattro with 110k miles. There's a green light that stays on all the time right above the clock. It looks like two bulbs, back to back, shining in opposite directions. The owner's manual makes no mention of of this light though.

Does anybody know what it's for?

Sounds like the headlight indicator (on)..

 

I can never get it to shut... turning the headlights on and off has no effect

 

Does sound like the headlight indicatior

Check to see if you have any bulbs burt out.
