check the ground between the motor and frame. remove both ends. clean all the contact surfaces then put it back together.

Bid you have the old generator checked before changing it?

Well pulled the new gen out and had it tested(BAD). So the place I bought it from is going to have me a new one tomorrow. I should have known better. When i bought this one and took it out the box the parts store the shaft felt like it was binding a little. But I have to admit I can pull a gen out of a 2.8 in about 90 mins with without removing the front bumper.

Try your local SPCA for a replacement cat or dog.
