I did a search here but no soap. Can someone advise me, please...I'm considering a 2001 2.7 6 spd A6 with 82K. Its gear shift moves maybe a half inch forward and back when you get on or off the gas. Every car I've ever owned that did that had a bad engine mount or trans mount but the dealer tells me it's normal. I don't believe him unless he meant they all do that once they get 80K on them. Sure.
So, what do I have here?
Also, aside from the timing belt and water pump (while it's opened up for the tb), what other things should I think about?
