Default 2.7T bad torque converter....manual swap?'s

Well the torque converter is bad in my 2002 2.7T Quattro and I'm looking at possibly a manual swap seeing how I have to spend a bunch of money to fix it anyways. I found this http://www.audis4parts.com/page23.html but its for a S4. The tranny and such are going to work as this came in the car as an option but what about all the mounting points for the tranny, and is the rear diff and front driveshafts the same? What would you do if it was your car, just throw a torque converter in it and go or since its out already play with it and make it more fun to drive?

There was a guy who did it long time ago on this forum. He really did not get into the details but it was cool non the less. The kit seems like a good kit that combines pretty much all the stuff you will be needing.

I have been pondering this for awhile for my avant, but the only feasible way of dealing with is was to getting a wrecked manual car and pulling the stuff out as need. Obviously, it does not make sense financially. But it sure will be cool.

Ya i couldnt find any information in this forum about it. My question would be the rear diff. Is that going to mount up being from an S4? If i go through with this and put it together i'll be sure to post up what i have to go through.

It'll cost you more than the car is worth. You haven't even started asking the expensive questions, yet. Cheaper faster and easier to trade the car in on something already with a manual. If you insist on keeping the car, put a TC in it and enjoy it for what it is.
