2.7t coolant leak after TB change, help please
#3
check the area around the thermostat/thermostat housing. I had the same thing happen when I did mine. Started buttoning everything up and added coolant. Had major leakage running down from above the oil pan on the passenger side. turned out I had the t-stat a little cockeyed and the housing didn't seat properly.
good luck

thanks yall
about to take off the crankshaft dampener then timing belt, have cam lock bar in place. i think it may be the thermostat as well, when i installed it it was a tad bigger( ~1-2mm in diameter than the old one) and didnt want to fit right. i might have to do some custom light filing to the edges to make it perfect and this time i will check for leaks before i put the lock carrier back on.i shined a light under the intake to check the 2nd coolant pump and that looks fine as my car rarely reaches the 248 degree mark, only when im cruisin 85pmh on the freeway for a while. the new water pump gasket looks a littlemoist but nothing major, i will update in a bit
