Default 2.7T problem is driving me crazy

I have a 2002 A6 2.7t Quattro and i am getting codes p0341 and p0300. I have tried both camshaft pos sensors and no change. There is a noise coming from the front at idle but it goes away if you drive around. I cant figure it out and this is my first time dealing with the Audi way.
Now i have a stupid question but how do you check the timing on this thing? I have been searching and cannot find how to do it and most forums say this could be a timing issue. I may have totally missed it but if someone could help me it would be nice.
Also if someone has a downloadable bentley manual it would be nice too.
Thanks in Advance

you really need a manual you have to pull the valve covers and line up the crank using the mark on the harmonic balancer and the arrows on the cams. if you have changed the sensors then more than likely you have a timing issue. If you line up the crank mark and do not see the arrows turn the crank one more full revolution and check it again.
