Default 2.7t really really really bad smoke

I was driving my car last night; just enjoying the heck out of the ride, it was a bit dark; driving on the highway; when I noticed that I could not see any one behind me; which was a bit odd; few minutes later the red flashing oil light came on; I was only 10 miles away from home so I figured will check it when I get there; once i got closer to home and stopped the car at the traffic light the smoke was extremely bad; the cloud was covering my car and every one elses; luckily I was very close to home by then; when I let the car cool down I checked the dipstick and there was no oil; nothing; this morning I had to add five quarts of 0-30 synth in it. My turbo was making the siren noise before that; could it be the turbo?; and could I have damaged my car (I drove it at most 15 - 20 miles after the smoke startet). the smoke was coming from both sides; and when I checked the read of the car; it is oil allover. the car prior to this never leaked a drip of oil.

yellow blinky lights mean "hey when you get a chance, check this out"

red blinky lights mean "you should probably stop right now lest you destroy this car"

hopefully you didn't totally trash your engine. there are a few different things that can lead to burning oil as you describe. None of them are good or cheap to fix. check your coolant for level and to see if there is oil mixed in it. other possible problems are blown turbo seals, blown piston rings, cracked head, blown head gasket, major valve issue....

like I said, none of it is good for you car or cheap to fix. based on what you have written so far, I would recommend you have your car TOWED to a good independent Audi specialist for diagnoses. be prepared to not like what he has to say.

good luck

I appreciate the response; i finally decided to look at the air intake; and took the plastic piece that connects the Y shaped to the MAF; to find it full of oil; the second i took it out oil was pouring out of it; anyone knows what this means?
I also added 5 quarts of oil to the car; and started it; with the same thing; oil coming out of the muffler and alot of smoke; very white smoke. no water mixed with oil; or decrease in water level at all.
I have to mention that the car did not heat; temps remained constant on the car for both oil and water when this happened;

Sounds like your PCV is going to h3ll.
Check that out.
Your spider hose might be jacked.

if the PCV valve goes oil start to come out of the exhaust?; I mean the car almost lost all oil in the engine; and the back window of the car when you pass your finger through it it is all oil; the same as the pumper cover. I had to add 5 qrts of oil back into the car; and it is still not at the level where it should be.
On a second thought; where is the PCV located at; and how would you check it?

A clogged spyder pipe would blow oil out the cam seals. You have a bigger problem. It has the classic symptoms of a blown turbo. But, start with a compression test to see if you toasted a piston. Then, start shopping - either for a used engine or for a new car.

Good luck,

Bob

How do I check the spyder pipe; or the PCV?; any info would greatly be appreciated. what is the ideal compression for this car should be; I know if one deviates by more than the other by 20% I belive or so then it is toast; but can you please elaborate.

thank you

You see that thing sticking out of the Y-Pipe that looks like nothing else you have ever seen? It's the only thing that connects to the Y-Pipe and it's near the back of the engine.
Pull that off.
Do you see a lot of oil? PCV seems to be going.
Spider hose I think is under the manifold so that might be a lot more work, but I could be completely wrong.
Chances are high your pistons and what not are fine.
Pull off your PCV's and check your DV's because they might have a little oil in them.

If the engine is running smoothly and not misfiring, a turbo has lost a seal and the oil is going right into the intake.

I finally was able to find where the PCV valve is located; I pulled that thing off and surely there was oil in it; I started the car with the valve not connected; and white smoke was coming out of it; well from the muffler there was alot more smoke coming out to be honest; but the smoke coming out of the PCV valve; does that signify anything.
Here is the Dillema I put myself in; I knew that the turbo was going out; but had no clue that the car would just start pouring oil out of the muffler and that I would loose about 7 quarts of oil in less than 10 minutes driving.
on any case; how do I know if I damaged the engine or not; I would hate to take the car and get the turbo s replaced to find that the engine is still smoking; any help here is greatly appreciated.
