Greeting. I have a 2000 A6 2.7 and I'd like to replace the stock stereo because the CD player doesn't work. Is the an aftermarket stereo that works well. I'd like to keep the standard speakers and just replace the stereo unit. Thanks, Russ

 

You can go in for any brand you like, just make sure that is a reputed one. Since You wish to retain the current speakers, get a stereo which is the most compatible with the head unit. That should not be of major problems, since mostly all good brands are compatible on a mix and match basis. I would prefer a JVC or even Sony.

 

If you have a Bose system just pickup a used unit off of ebay. But you may need the dealer to program the computer to recognize the Bose settings.
