I am having trouble figuring out where this connector goes. It is part of the block of connectors that is normally covered by the plastic trim piece adjacent to the power steering reservoir.

The car is a '00 C5 A6 2.7t Quattro & the connector in question is the circled one in the first attached picture. It is the only connector in that area with the metal push type clip and has two wires; they are both black.



The opposite end is loose, and I cannot figure out where it goes, or what it is for.

Turns out it is the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor, I was finally able to find this helpful picture after many random google image searches.
