So this past weekend I rebuilt the entire front end on my A6. All new control arms, tie rods, cv's etc. All done and ran great. I took in for alignment with a new set of 19's I just acquired and when they had it plugged in to the computer they had trouble aligning it. The guy said the rear trailing arm on the left side was adjusted as much as it could be adjusted and was still about a 1/2 or 1/4 inch out which causes the car to dogwalk (back end tracking to the right while going straight) He said the rear trailing arm is probably out of wack unnoticeably. I called audi this morning and they said it's because of the 19's and that there is no room left for adjustment on the trailing arm. But then how come the right side rear was fine ?? Is my trailing arm bent ? Should I try to install a new one ? Anyone with 19 or bigger wheels have trouble with this or alignment in general ?? Any input would be appreciated.

Also need to lower the car now. whats the most inexpensive way to lower about 3 inches in the front and rear ? The 19's with 235's on stock ride height went on perfect with no rubbing at all. just want to eliminate all that gap in the wheel well.

But the trailing arm thing is mindboggling. I need help!! blaufernugen.

sorry can't help about the allignment issue, but I am curious about which front end kit you used? I have seen several options and they all seem to say they are an improved design over the originals with harder bushings...
Thanks, and good luck
