2001 A6 2.8L subwoofer amp
So we had a heavy storm a few weeks back and during the storm my speakers went out. I took out the stock amp and Sub box. Some how water got into the housing and the amp was submitted in water. I was confused though. My Bentley repair book says it supposed to have a bose amp and sub. But when I took it out its a blaupunkt with part number 4B5035382. So I've been trying to find a replacement for this but all I can find in the US is bose setups. Does anyone know can I get the bose and will it plug in the same? From what I can tell is that they have diffrent wiring. Can anyone help me figure this out. Thanks
Greetings the Bose was an option so not all Audis came with Bose for 2001. Easiest way to know is to look at your door speaker grills. There should be a Bose logo on each and your head unit should say Bose for a few seconds when you switch it on if any of the things I mentioned are present then congrats you have Bose lol if not then you have the standard audio system. At this point though it would be better just to get an aftermarket set up and unfortunately I highly doubt that the Bose would be plug and play into a non Bose Audi.
Best regards

I know that I don't have a bose system. So I cannot find a replacement amp and sub enclosure. I was wondering if I would be able to just get a new head unit and run all 8 speaker from the head unit with no amp or sub.
