Hello,

I recently bought a 2001 A6 and I have trouble with the alarm system. I found out the the hood switch is triggering the alarm. Strange is that there is no wire attached to the hood switch and the connector is torn off. I can't find the wire which was connected to the switch so I assume that it was cut off by the previous owner. Somehow the alarm is triggered randomly so I suspect it has been shorted somewhere but that's just a guess.

I want to replace the hood switch and restore the original configuration. Therefore I'm trying to find the harness to connect too but haven't found it so far.

What is the part number of the wire that is plugged into the hood switch and where does the other end go into the harness?

I would really appreciate the help because I'm running out of ideas and really would like to fix it myself.
