2001 A6 Interior Bulbs?
Hi All,
I'm trying to replace my interior bulbs with some LED bulbs from http://www.superbrightleds.combut the numbers on the bulbs don't seem to return many results when using their search function. I checked Sylvania.com and didn't have much luck there either. I think I managed to finda cross-reference part number for one of the bulbs (see below). Does anybody know any of thealternate part numbers for these bulbs?
K5618 (Cross-Referenced as Part # 4410)

Thanks in advance.

Check out 42 Draft Designs for your LED's. I am replacing mine as we speak. Our interior uses wedge style lights in the doors, 39mm fuse style lights under the dash, under the driver and passenger seat, in the trunk, gloveboxand in the overhead light by the sunroof. The reading lights are a push and turn style. This is what I've been working on so far. I am not sure what bulbs are used by the license plate but thats coming soon.
Hope this helps!
OOOO
I know this maynot be the biggest help, but it has some of our interior lights

Thanks guys,
I'm only putting LEDs in the front and rear dome lights, the front and rearsmaller push button lights, and the lights in the sun-visors. I measured the bulbs, converted them to millimeters and matched them to the bulbs on superbrightleds.com. This should be fine for the festoon bulbs but there's a chance the push and turn ones which they call bayonet bulbswont fit ($5 for them so no biggie). I'll let you know how they fit/look when they arrive.
And I did see those bulbs listed on Sylvania.com but they didn't cross-reference on superbrightleds.com.

The LEDs came in the mail and they all fit fine
.
There is a small problem though: They all light up fine when I open one of the doors but if I manually turn them on (by hitting the roller-switch), they don't turn on. I can see a slight flicker of light from the smaller push-button lights (seems as though the LED bulbs aren't drawing or gettingenough power). I know LEDs consume less power but I don't understand why they would work fine when opening the door but not work at all when hitting the switch. It seems as though when you open a door (or unlock the doors), the lights are getting power from a different circuit than when you manually turn them on. Any ideaswhy this might be happening? Thanks.

Ha...If I can get em working right I'll get some pics up. Maybe the light-sockets are supplying too much power for the LEDs? I tried Googling this but didn't find anything. I hate electrical problems because they're always really strange and a royal PITA.
Still no luck getting the LEDs to function properly (turn on without having to open the door or remotely unlock the doors) so I figured I'd bump with some pics(in the 1st picture, you cansee the difference betweenthe yellowish factory lightsand the whiteLEDs). From these pictures, you can't really see how they light up the whole interior but IMO, it looks so much better...andbrighter. I took a short video too (which again,is fairly darker than it looks in person): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAMj6e7N2DE.

Nice one............I'm trying to upgrade some of my bulbs on my A6 (07) and am being told that it will cause problems[&:]
The car is so technologically advanced blah blah blah.........wont draw enough current, get bulb out messages etc.
I was hoping to add leds to the sidelights, reversing lights and possibly the stop/ tail too.
Anyone???
Help appreciated
Jim

Yea, I know the car will probablythink your bulb is out so it will blink fast and tell you its out. I believe in most (if not all) cases, you can install low-resistance resistors to get around this but it may be a different case with Audis. I'm staying away from the exterior lighting for now (especiallysince I can't even get the interior drop-in LEDs to work properly
