Default 2002 A6 Rear wheel alignment

After getting tired of the car pulling to the left, I had the alignment checked. The rear is showing out of spec. The bolt/arrangement that is used to adjust this is frozen. The bolt I am told is rusted to the steel sleeve in the bushing.

Curious of anyway else in the snow/wet areas has seen this and how was it fixed> I plan to visit the parts guy at the dealer to morrow and get his input.

Worse case is the cut the bolts off flush, remove the arm and either press/drill the old bolt out.

thanks Ed

This is common on older cars that have seen a lot of snow, ice, salt, etc. I had my outer tie rods seized to the inners. Heat, large wrenches, brute force... nothing worked. I wound up going right for the inners where they were less exposed to the elements. I used an inner tie rod end removal tool and they popped right off.

Cut the bolts , replace the control arms , make sure your front tie rod adjustments move.

I picked up the bolts this morning. Looking at it, we have the track bar with it's bushing. Rubber and steel. There is also an aluminum rubber covered spacer that is corroded. My guess is the inside is where it is frozen. The exploded view does not show this to be a separate item. My question is this truly a spacer and not part of the arm/

If it is just a spacer, then I won't buy the $180.00 track bar. I can just make a stainless piece on a lathe.
thanks
