2003 Audi A6 3.0 Quattro Oil Light indicator ......
Hey wassup guys alright so I've had my audi for about a month now and there is this indicator that pops up on the instrument cluster that looks like a oil tin can. It's red and blinks and beeps about three times. Then when I push the switch in front it says " switch off. engine, check oil pressure. " I'm brand new to cars and brand new to Audi so please any person knows what this means? And a solution to fixing this problem? The beeping gets really loud and annoying....

Oil pressure sensor could be faulty or intermittent wiring, check connector and clean contacts.
If not then it could be running low oil pressure, look for leaks. Does it use any oil? A "quick fix" if its not leaking could be to run a flushing oil through and replace oil with correct grade fully synth. Never use anything other than good quality fully synth in the 3.0.
Listen for a noisy top end, if its making low oil pressure then the valve train will be noisy, it could also be wearing it out very quickly so be cautious where oil light is involved.
