Hi,

I have an Audi A6 4.2, 112K - perfect condition cosmetically and in all respects except the engine. Brand new brakes/rotors as of October of last yr. Brand new continentals ($US1200) - put them on 4 weeks ago, less than 150 miles on them. Cars been parked for 2 weeks to let you know the value there.

Drove it to church (2.3 miles) and everything was fine. Started it up after church and it was missing badly. Limped home those 2 miles and then had it towed to the local dealer. Bad news - it isn't electrical, coils/sparkplugs/etc/

Probably the chain, maybe a tensioner? Dunno- but the engine has to come out to fix it.
