I have a friend with a 2005 A6 with MMI. He purchased a Navigation unit on ebay. Can someone let us know how to connect it to the wires in the trunk. The unit looks like it just slides into the tray, but we are not sure what are the correct cables to plug into the back of the unit.

I have searched the forum and the web and can't find a definitive answer. Is it not a simple plug in install?

Found a post indicating that a wiring adapter is needed. Can anyone confirm that this adapter is needed for a 2006 A6?

did you find out if you needed the harness? I have the same problem
