Hello all,

I have a 2006 Audi A6 quattro with S-line exterior (18-inch wheels). I bought the car last week and today when I was making a u-turn and turned the wheel all the way, I noticed that if I press on the gas a little while the wheel is turned all the way to either side the car trembles noticably to the point where some plastic parts in the rear deck of the car rattle very loud...anyone have this issue? Do you think I should have the dealer take a look?

It's under warranty so I'll take it in and have them look at it.

 

The 06 has TSBs for both a transmission software upgrade and a brake calliper upgrade. They both describe the symptons as a "vibration" and/or a "moan" when turning at low speeds. If the car has less than50K miles, Audi will do the upgrades for free.

 

Thank you so much Kevin...I called the dealer and told them about the problem and they said for Quattros it was NORMAL! I need to find those TSB's so they can't BS me anymore!!!

So service said that its a common known problem with quattros 06 A6 model. Thats not good...

I think I am feeling a little bit of that too but not something that noticeable
