2006 Audi A6 Tires!!

I have 2006 Audi A6 with 245-40-18 Conti tires. I want to replace it with a decent tire but kind of stuck at Load Index and which one to buy? I have 93H but I think Audi recomments 97H or 97Y.

I dont want to spend more than $200 per tire and that's pushing it. Looking for all season tires that'll reduce some current noise I have from cupping.

Thanks a lot guys

If it were my car??...http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes ...but that's just me.

(EDIT: including a 4whl alignment, of coarse)

for me, honestly, i'd stick with the conti's or bfg's.

These Kumho looks good and has decent reviews. I had never owned Kumho's on any of my cars before...are they worth it? In terms of noise, traction etc. Thanks

Can you please suggest the model of Conti or BF? Thanks

Many Kumhos have a rep for fast treadwear & noise, but the Ecsta LX Platinum appears to be the exception. I recently sold a set of these to an S4 customer that simply wanted longevity. You will sacrifice some performance & grip, but they should last longer(pending your tire pressure/rotation/driving habits). Check out the reviews from other Audi owners...http://www.tirerack.com/survey/Surve...m%3D44WR8ELXXL

OE ContiProContact 97H is your only all-season choice...everything else has a 93 load rating.

Don't know US-prices, but Pirelli P-zero Nero got great rewiews here in Norway, both on grip and noise.

I have tried Michelin Pilot sport2 and Michelin Primacy HP, both have excellent grip both on wet and dry, but are a bit noisy.

255-40/ZR-17
BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S
Continental ExtremeContact DWS

both ultra-high performance all-season
bfg's stick slightly better, but they only lasted about 35k miles
conti's are a little quieter and seem to be wearing good (have about 15k on them so far.)

wet traction is good for both. snow for the bfg's was good, but i haven't taken the conti's there yet.

How is the Dunlop SP Sport Signature (W&Y)? Any ideas?

Ive heard good things about the DWS Contis. I have a set of Falken 912s and so far I really like them. Cheap, quiet, wearing well, and great traction wet or dry. Dont know about snow, I have winter wheels/tires.

prob with DWS is that they are 93 load index and audi recommends 97. I have 93 conti's right now and they are noisy
