Default 22 inch rim on A6?

Im considering putting 22 inch rims on a 2001 A6, im not sure how the car will ride or if 22's will even fit. Does anyone in the forum have 22's on there A6?

Hell Nooooooooo! Don't do it! Not to an Audi! It's not a Chrysler 300. They won't fit without a lot on modification. 18 and 19's rub sometimes. Please don't do your A6 like that. Go 19's at the most. if there is too much space, get some coil overs and springs to lower it......But for the Love of GOD!!!!! no 22's! Just my opinion. lol. Good Luck.

well theres a newer a6 with 22s on it in miami. i seen it last time i was on washington ave. i dont think it was lowered but they filled the wheel wells up but of course it was still kind of high but thats the miami style. now that i think about it it could have been 21s but i didnt get close enough to read the tires. i dont know where you live but if you want to do it miami or fort lauderdale shops do things like that all day. theres a monte carlo riding on 30s in miami. its not my cup of tea but they still do it.

19's are the maximum "practical" but I would stick with 18's as they have a much larger selection of tires, and look more tasteful.

Please don't anger the german car gods, they're already spiteful enough at me for convincing my neighbors to get a prius (somewhat as a joke but they went for it).

A6 with 22's? You mad? Repeat after me. "Not A Hummer". Shame. Shame on you. I have a 2004 S-Line, comes with 18's. Looks great. Nice and proportional.

I run stock 17s in the winter and 18s in the summer. Noticeably harsher ride on the 18s. Live in fear of hitting a pot hole. I can't imagine running anything larger for looks and safety. Gotta agree with halik--if you must have dubs, buy yourself an 80s Chevy or Caddy and knock yourself out. Don't trash a fine piece of Germany engineering.
