Default 99 A6 2.5 TDI advice needed.

Hi,
I'm interested in in purchasing a 99 A6 2.5 Tdi with 150 bhp. At the same time I'm also looking at the 180bhp version. Both of them have to be Automatic and with 4 wheel Drive (I live in Poland and winters here can be really nasty). Could anyone please let me know what's the difference in performance between the two of them as well as fuel consumption (it'll be mostly used in the city hence the Desel). Could anyone please tell me as well, what're the main things that I should watch out for while getting it inspected? The car has approx 220 000 kms and it looks fantastic but I would like to get the mechanic to tell me what state are the parts that're most likely to fail because of age or wear and tear!!! Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Raphael

Things most likely to fail are tie rods/control arms. Also check to see if they timing belt has been changed as well as the water pump. I'm not that familiar with those engines, so I won't be much help to you. Welcome to the forum by the way!
