Hello,
I have been reading for awhile and searching a lot but cant find the answer to this problem.
The steering is harder than normal to turn to the right but the wheel will go all the way to the left by itself. A lot of times when you start the car if you are not holding onto the wheel it will turn all the way to the left very quickly and abruptly.
I was almost in an accident today going around a left corner about 40mph and the wheel got away from me and I think I almost rolled the car over.

I have replaced the rack with a rebuilt unit and because this rack has the servotronic unit on it I decided to remove the relay for the servotronic to see if that made any difference but it did not.

If you have run into this before please let me know anything you can about this problem.

Sounds like a bad rack. Just because it is rebuilt does not mean it was rebuilt right! take it back to the mechanic who installed it and have him put another one in. Hope this wasn't a DIY, otherwise it's a DIYAgain!
