hey whats up. i just purchased my 99 a6 last week through a local dealerand the car phone still works.Im wondering how does the billing work for this? me and my friends made a few calls on it and everything works finebut who gets the bill for the calls? i didnt go through an audi dealer so my name isnt attached to the phone #. lol i dont want to wake upone morning and get a $900 phone bill.

 

The owner of the mobile phone accountgets billed. Hard to believe they did not cancel the service when they traded the car. So it's your choice, to be a ***** and run up his bill or to contact the local dealer and have them arrange to transfer the service to you or cancel it.

I'm surprised that the carrier will still support an 8 year old phone. Usually those are analog or old digital and they won't support it on their network. That could be a problem if they try and transfer service to youor you try and get your own service. That's why I'd never buy a built-in mobile set up.
