Default A6 2.7 Turbo Clutch Repair Easier than my 68 Camaro?

My mechanic tell's me that the Clutch on my 2000 A6 2.7L Turbo is catching high and that there is approximately 5,000 more miles left on it.

I have replaced a clutch on my 68 Camaro 396 4 Speed. Not ever working on an Audi A6, does anyone have an Idea how much harder it would be?

My A6 has the 6-speed option.

Thank You, In advance.

you're clutch can grab high for a long time before you need to worry. the real test is to do 40mph and put the car into 6th gear if the clutch slips then you might need a clutch soon.

my brother had a 69 comarro and from what I have seen the audi is much moer of a chalenge. there are many more things that are in the way. the audi is more advanced and has a different system. it is not imposible but it is very difficult

I've done clutches on a 48 Chevy and a 72 TR6. I would never take on the Audi. The quattro adds a lot of complexity. I had it done at my local shop. I knew I needed the clutch when it slipped under acceleration in 6th gear. Within a couple weeks it worked it way down to slipping regularly in 4th and 5th.

I upgraded to the AWE Stage 2 and added the lightweight flywheel as there was some damage to the OEM flywheel. I could have saved a few hundred by going OEM againbut I prefer to over-build for the higher hp and torque of the chipped engine. The pedal pressure is identical, but it seems to engage a little sooner than the original clutch.
