Default A6 2.8/2.7 0-60 time

To all a6 2.8 owners, what do you think you car's time is from 0-60 stock? If not stock, what have u added, and what's the new time?

To all those who switched the engine code to think it's an a4
using vag-com, do u think u get faster 0-60?

how about 2.7T stock/non stock times?

2.8 Ive heard ranges from 8.75 to 10secs. So 9 is a safe bet. Mine will do about 9.5 i think. As for what you can do for them not alot. Chip to add like 10hp not really worth it. There is a supercharger but its like 4-5k for it and it adds 100hp. I doubt the VAG will really do anything when converting it to the A4

2.7T about 6-7secs I believe. Non stock id guess could possibly be down to 4 secs? For Mods there are alot of choices (getting to stage 3+). hope this helps!

I have made it in 7.9 secs!!!! One time I thought I made it in 7.5, but now Im not completly sure. I can run with my friends pontiac G5 GT auto, and car and driver lists its 0-60 time at 7.6 or something... I have a video of a ~8 sec flat run, but nothing faster, and I wont untill I get new 02 sensors I have the vag com recodes, and Im questioning the A4 recode, not so sure if it was a good move, but the tip thing is way better. I have Remus cat back, no resonator, and a KN filter, 2001 A6 2.8Q, 94000mi.

The time was with filter and exhaust, no recode. The tip recode is awesome! It will not shift unless you manually do it. So it will either drop to idle, or bounce off the rev limiter. This allows you to raise shift points from ~6300 to 6800. Makes the car feel like it pulls harder, and its more fun Im not sure about the A4 engine recode, Its hard to say, but its like im in the pedal more for the same accel, but over all, not any slower. Maybe its just me. Also, I got a ce light for 02 sensors about the same time I did the recodes, so its seems to be getting very poor mpgs, mid 16s! It was in the low/mid 20s. Here is the old vid of somewhere around 8, hard to tell casue it wasnt a launch, I floored it from a stop going around a corner, the first 30 secs are really the only good accel parts.

^ that is the problem with the 2.8, you can supercharge it for like 4k, or buy a 2.7T, chip it, and have more hp and more torque. O well, the 2.8 keeps me out of trouble
