Anyone have any recommendations? Is it worth it. I have a 98 A6 2.8, which I love, but wouldn't mind a little more power. Obviously I'm going to hear plenty people say trade up to a 2.7 turbo, but that's currently not an option.

Any thoughts?

 

i have a 96 a6 qw
same 2.8, not much u can do with it. perf mods are $$$$$$$$
for not too much gain.

use good plugs/wires
mann or wix filters
synthetic oil
the engine will run for many miles, i guess that is the tradeoff.

 

I have 98 2.8 too, and not much you can do to it. All I did is put a K&N ( which doesn't do anything) and put mufflers(you feel a little kick and has a nice low hum to it) but thats all you can really do to the 2.8.

 

I'm getting the GIAC Tranny and Engine chip installed in a few weeks. Other than that, there isn't much out there for our 2.8's. i'll keep you guys posted as to what they do for the car.
