A6 2001 4.2l V8 Quattro - FBC to ECF - HELP !
So here's the deal, I live in Iceland, where there's a very limited supply on anything Audi related.
I have in my driveway
1x 2001 Audi A6 Station 4.2l v8 Quattro, with a busted FBC tranny.
1x 2001 Audi A6 Sedan 4.2l v8 Quattro, with a working ECF tranny, but the front end is wrecked.
Are the trannys interchangeable without having to reprogram either the TCU or ECU ? Or do I have to resort to somesort of witchcraft, and imported assistance to get the station up and running again.
In wich case, where should I turn ?
All tips welcome.
