A6 (2009) from E350 (2006)
Just leased 2009 a6 premium plus w/ cold weather package. Car handles better than MB, ride is more precise and not as soft. Trunk size the same, cabin size a little smaller, seats smaller, windsheild smaller with a more acute angle rake. The car handles great in inclement weather due to awd. the lease price of the new 2010 E350 was prohibitive ($924.00 per month sign and drive) A6 $750.00 per month sign & drive (tax included). I am no longer a dedicated MBenz owner and am very happy w/ the A6 all around.

Glad to hear from a satisfied customer. I took a look around the Audi dealer a few months ago and was drooling, but I love my A6 2.7T and would not want one without a stick. And I can't afford an RS6. If you think yours is good in the rain, wait until it snows on the LIE. Quattro just plows through the mess with confidence, leaving you time to watch out for sliding RWD cars.

The answer must be yes because the OP said it was all wheel drive (so it can't be the 3.2) and it had the premium package (so it can't be the 4.2, which only comes in the Prestige trim level).

thanks for responding
sorry I didnt get back sooner as I was driving
I have the supercharged 3.0 (3.oT)
the engine noise is a little louder than the mb
the cabin seems smaller regardless of the actual specs but it is longer
don't forget I'm comparing with an 2006 E350
I ordered a 2010e350 and the price was $950/ mo sign and drive! They dont want to discount the car yet, so I got a refund.
the car is still on the lot and the dealer says they are not leasing, the sticker price was less than the A6 by +-$2000.00. I thought I liked the E350 at the car show but the back looks like a camray. The Audi booth really impressed me and my wife the all white cars with some kind of special lighting was impressive.

I also test drived the BMW 5 and liked the car but did not want to commit to 3 years when its going to be redesigned next year. The A6 has a rougher ride than the e350 but handles much better

I am jealous! I have been eyeing the 3.0T avant for awhile, but can't really justify the payment right now. I hear they are sweet. BTW, the september issue of motortrend compares all of them and puts the A6 at the top.

the price is high now though I dont know why but if you compare cost per month with other vehicles I think the a6 leases better than the mercedes e350 but similar with the bmw5 equally equipped.( the bmw includes service and real time traffic repoerts) the lexus g300 is more by $100 per month but is loaded with options some of which you may not want, it has a bump in the floor that I found annoying, and of course it looks like a big toyota
the great thing about the a6 is the look of the vehicle particulary from the front with its headlights,
