Default A6 3.0 Performance Mods

I have a 2002 A6 3.0 Quattro and am looking into performance upgrades. I have searched the site all over and can't find a lot of info. What can I do to my car to get a few extra horses? I can't seem to find any air intake kits or other mods for the 3.0. Can someone point me in the right direction? Not looking to make it a racer, just a few extra ponies and maybe save a few MPGs.

It's hard to mod a 3.0 so honestly there isn't much you can do other than exhaust and maybe a few other things.

Try awe-tuning / APR / Giac and see what they have. Many other companies as well.

Spend $5K on supercharger or go sell the car and buy a 2.7T. Otherwise, enjoy your car for what it is. Like I am with my 2.8.

Unitronic and GIAC I think have chips for the 3.0 (about $300-400)

For intake, the best option is probably just a k&n filter for your stock airbox

suspension is obviously widely available.

only other thing is exhaust which would have to be custom.

your choices are slim but they're there.

Do some searches on this forum. As mentioned above, performance gains for 2.8/3.0 are minimal but $$ is high. Just enjoy what you got.

Get a k/n filter, and get exhaust, you will just make it fun to drive. Thats how mine is, it sounds fast, but its not, lol. LLtek has a true cat back system, Remus makes axle back and supersprint has one I believe but its crazy expensive, then there is universal mufflers, like magnaflows which still sound good and they are cheap. There are chips out there, not sure if/ how much they do, I know my exhaust woke my car up alot though, I deff. recomend that mod! I have Remus, its about 750, the lltek is 1100 I think, the supersprint is 1500 for mufflers, another 1000 if you want the mid pipes, and magnaflows would be about 400.

Default Thanks to all

Thanks for the advice. I do enjoy my 3.0 and it is a great car. Never hurts to try to find a little more power!
