Default A6 - 3.0L - Auto - Any mods?

Hello,

Had my Audi for about two months now. I love the style and comfort of the car. It has some power, but I am a convert from a sport compact to this. My sport compact had the power (turbo) but I needed to grow up and get something more "distinguished". Now, question is.. I have the comfort, "distinguishing" car and the small amount of power from the 3.0L .. are there ANY upgrades at all for the 3.0L A6? I see a lot for the 2.7L and 4.2L .. but is this mid-ranged engine option completely out of performance parts? I even requested an LL-Tek magazine and received it in the mail recently. I had a hard time "ciphering" through all the parts and am still unsure what will or will not fit on my car.

Any help.. send it my way.. please.

Thanks!!

Jeff

Do you have quattro or FWD? FWD uses CVT tranny, which is very power limited because of the belts which drive the wheels; they can break. Quattro can take more power, but I have yet to find any mods besides a PES supercharger ($4500). You could go with a custom exhaust, that a good exhaust shop could put together.

PES G2 Supercharger is about it.

GIAC does not make any chips for your engine yet...only for the 2.8.

K&N filter helps a bit. Like slee22, u can get a custom exhaust done. Most guys remove the center resonator for a bit more response and sound. 3.0 motor is quite lacking in that dept. but it economical.

Looks like the 3.0L has some extra HP opportunities now.

Has anyone had successes with this kit? Any failures?

I have a CVT. What are your thoughts on adding a supercharger with this transmission?

Thanks!

Jeff

3.0 is actually the G#

PES has accomplished this through a combination of larger fuel injectors and ECU tuning. The system offers ultra smooth drivability, and near silent operation. The G3 system is the result of over 1000 hours of "real-time" road testing using data logging software. Our vehicles are tested under a wide variety of driving conditions ranging from "easy" daily commutes to severe track conditions. We also test our systems in a broad range of temperatures, from bitter winter cold to blazing summer heat. Testing is also conducted using both Dynojet and Mustang dynamometers. We are so confident in the reliability of the system that we offer a one year, unlimited mileage warranty.
