A6 (B5) Floor Mats!
Long time listener, first time caller. Here it goes.
I am the proud owner of a new (to me) 2003 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro in white with tan interior. Although the condition of the car is very good, there are a few little things I need to tackle, and floor mats are on the top of my list as there weren't any in the car when I bought it. Well technically they aren't the top, top of my list, but I have already scheduled my mechanic to take some time to go through the car from top to bottom and give me a fresh oil change with Mobil 1, so floor mats are sort working their way to the top of the list.
In any case, I have been looking for some good quality floor mats that utilize the factoryposts / hold downs. I previously owned a VW Jetta 1.8T that had the same posts and came to love how well they kept the mats in place, so obviously I would prefer to use a factory mat with the holes that clip onto the posts.
That being said, I have been searching high and low and cannot locate an online source for the floor mats, and after seeing a used set go for about $116 plus shipping on eBay a few days ago, I'm starting to wonder what a new set is going to cost directly from a dealer. I have looked at the cheesy options out there, but again I want something that utilizes the posts, and it appears my options are limited.
eBay does have some of the rubber all-weather mats for $80 plus shipping which would be fine for winter, but I would much rather have a nice carpet mat for summer. Short of cheesing out and buying a universal fit mat, does anyone have any other options? Am I going to have to break down and buy directly from a dealer? I think $100 for floor mats is obscene, but if that is my only option maybe I will have to bite the bullet.
Sorry for the rant about floor mats - I promise my posts will get more exciting as time moves on. I have a lot of other questions on the way, but one thing at a time!

Anyone have any idea how much the OEM mats from a dealer might cost? Do I need to consider donating some plasma just to afford them?? [sm=smiley29.gif]

Honestly at this point I'd settle for a used factory set from a wreck if I thought for a second that salvage yards would have them available. If nothing else maybe I could use the plastic hold downs from an old set and integrate them into a non-OEM aftermarket style.
The same outfit listed in the post by slee22 has the carpet mats in the factory colors http://www.audipartssuperstore.com/c...da5da3bcb7b7a6
This outfit is an Audi dealer (Clair Audi) in MA. The parts are OEM Audi.

Again, the carpet mats don't make any reference to the plastic posts which tells me they probably don't utilize them. Plus, at a $100 plus shipping a set....well I just think that is very high for non-OEM mats. They might be factory colors, but I'm more concerned about ensuring they are the same quality or better than OEM and that they don't slide around (which is why I want to utilize the factory plastic posts).
I just didn't think finding some OEM style mats would be so difficult. I might have to just pop for the rubber mats for now and keep watching for deals on eBay for the carpet version later.

What color is your interior? I'll strike a deal with you. Buy my rubber winter mats (for my car) and I'll trade you my factory mats for nothing more than whatever it costs priority mail to ship em to ya. Better yet, I work at the dealership so I get dealer prices! My mats are in great condition and are black! I'll find out about price on OEM carpet mats too if you want new. Lemme know.

If I get them and they are utter garbage, I may end up going another route. My interior is tan and I really want to stick with tan mat, so I don't think your black mats would have worked anyway - but I sincerely appreciate the offer. If you happen to think of it, find out the price on the OEM carpet mats just in case.
