A6 making funny noise only in some gears
Hi all,
I have a 2016 Audi A6 2.0 tdi ultra stronic. I recently had it in for a service at the main dealer and since then it has been noisier in gears 1, 3 and 5. It sounds like gravelly engine braking, but at all points of the rev range and when moving up through the rev range (so it isn’t engine braking).
It is silent in gears 2,4 and 6. By 7th gear there is enough road noise that I can’t tell its still happening. Also there is no power loss or other indication of anything being wrong.
any ideas what would only affect some of the gears anyone???
