Default A6 misfire

I have been getting a msifire on Cylinder number 4 P0304 and miscellaneous misfires P0030. I bought a VAG reader and I now see a EGT short to ground P1458. Caould this cause the misfires? Which EGT is #2 - passenger or drivers side. I have a 2000 A6 2.7t Quattro.

The misfire sounds like a bad coilpack, which isn't uncommon for Audi's. The EGT is the Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor. Here's how to change it: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng73.shtml

The problem turned out to be the #2 bank ignition module. I switched the modules and all the codes went to the other bank.
