2003 a6 no blower hot or cold ,,,got diagnostic code ;
code 40 Feedback value, cold end-stop, Footwell/Defroster Flap Motor Potentiometer (G114)

anyone know what the problem is or if its a big job???

If your set-up is the same as mine (and I'm pretty sure it is) the blower is behind the glove box. Pretty easy to get at after removing aforementioned glove box. Not sure about the "Footwell/Defroster Flap Motor Potentiometer (G114)". My first step would be checking the fuse pane and making sure all looks good with the climate control fuses. then I would move on to checking the rest of the system.

do you hear the motor running and no air or no blower no air?

Just wondering if a flap is stuck closed
did you try redirecting the air?

If no blower pull it first and check the feed wire for power.
Don't know what the wire looks like on an Audi but it is usually just 2 wires coming from the resistor or probably the climate control on these.

Let us know what you find. What a crappy time to loose heat!

thanks for esponses but not really helping,,,,,,,,,,,,
no air coming from blowers at all , neither hot or cold ,thought it was pollen filters blocked but not so technically minded ,,,even the diagnostic codes confuse me,,,,
as far as the time of year i had to light a tea-light incar this morning to defrost ice of inner windscreen,,,,i need an idiots guide to find what is wrong with the dam thing,,,,,,,

you need to remove the glove box and pull the blower motor out and test it.

sounds like your blower motor died

was it squeaking or anything?

did you check your fuses??????????? check them before anything
