Default A6 wheel swap help!

My 2002 A6 came with sport wheels:
the wheels say KBA 44406, 7 1/2 J x 17 H2 Germany BBS

The Audi Dealer sold me these winter wheels and tires:
the wheels say AT Italia on the outside
the tires say Bridgestone Blizzak ws-50 215/55 R16 930

The 2005 A6 I ordered comes with the S-line Package with the following wheel specs:
18" quattro GmbH/BBS CH-style wheels
18" performance tires

Can I use my 2002 A6 wheels and tires on my 2005? I do not know the rotor dimensions of either car to gauge the fit. Any advise would help. Thanks.

Default RE: A6 wheel swap help!

It's possible that someone on the forum has similar Italia wheels and has tried them on an '05, but if not, here's what I'd do. The 17" Italia's probably have enough diameter to clear your new ride's rotors, but I'd still want to be sure that they clear the front brake calipers. Sometimes a particular wheel center shape will interfere. I'm sure that dealer you picked would accommodate your need to know by arranging to try one of your wheels on the '05 -- yours or another on the lot. Just keep reminding him how grateful you'll be and how you'll spread the positive word about his customer service!
