Default After-run pump mod?

I was told that if I get this sensor, it makes the after run pump run longer and is better for the car and turbos and such. Is this the right one?

Anyone done this before?

I dont know about that, The only thing I have heard is called "Turbo Timer" which makes the fan run a certain time after that car has shut down so it can cool safely. If I am mistaken please feel free to correct me anyone.

No that is something completely different. That keeps your car running for a certain amount of time and then automatically shuts it off for you after your gone. This keeps the coolant after run pump going longer than the stock sensor and cools your engine down better. I just need to know if this is the right part?

That switch looks right, but the ling doesn't have the VAG part # so I can't tell for sure.

Here's a link from AudiWorld with everything you need:

I did this on my car and the after run pump comes on every time I turn off the car. Before, I think I had only heard it come on a couple times.

a turbo timer is ok for the older cars because they didnt have the tech of today and the only time you would need a timer was on the track

It doesn't make the fan long longer. It makes the fan kick in @ a lower temp. Thus the pump runs more often.

Better then a TT IMHO.
